* "Immature love says, 'I love you because I need you' , Mature love says, 'I need you because I love you.'"
What does this quote mean to you? Explain it's meaning in your own words. What is the difference between mature love and immature love? Be sure to use detail and discuss how it could relate to Romeo and Juliet.*
Immature love says, 'I love you because I need you' , Mature love says, 'I need you because I love you.'" This quote can mean many things to different people, to me this means that people say many things to each other for someone who they “love”. Love comes in many different forms. This immature one is for people who really aren't sure what love is about. We all could relate to this at one point in our lives. “I love you because i need you” is basically saying they can't lose you in life. They need you through every step of the way. That is fine. But this is saying they need them so that must assume they love them. The mature quote, “I need you because i love you” is truly what love is to most people. They truly love you and they need to because of their strong love towards you. Its a completely different meaning to both immature and mature sayings but they both sound so much alike, which can confuse a lot of people.
ReplyDeleteThe difference between mature and immature love is very simple. Immature is basically un experienced. They have no idea what the word “love” really means. For example, dating somebody in 8th grade. You say you “love you” to them, but they don't know what love is. Love is such a strong word and we use it all the time. They have no idea what it means. But as you get older you start to learn what he real word love really mean and you start to experience it waymore. Love you can go very far with. You can get married and have a wonderful life with the person you love. It can be the best thing for you or the worst thing.
Romeo and Juliet have a big part in this quote. They were both so immature when they “fell in love with each other” All we really know right now is that they fell head first at each other at first sight. But they ended up killing themselves together because they knew it was meant to be and was for the best. This quote relates a lot of different ways to hem. And some i haven't yet discovered yet.
I totally agree with your explanation. The way you explained the difference between the two was really vivid and got your point across. Your Romeo and Juliet comparison was well constructed as well.
DeleteI like how you related it to Romeo and Juliet. I strongly agree with it. And it's completely true on how some haven't discorvered it yet. Also, the way you said how love is thrown everywhere everyday. And we learn it when we are older.
DeleteI really like how you state the kinds of loves very decrepitly. Like by the end of your blog you know witch one is witch and then you tie romeo and juliet into it and show how their love is so unbreakable such as mature love should be
DeleteI think you explained your reasoning well. I like how you used Romeo and Juliet. I agree with everything you had to say in your response.
DeleteI really like how you explained everything especially the part when you related it to Romeo and Juliet. You stated everything vividly and i liked your response to this quote.
DeleteI totally free with your response!! I believe there is a fine line between mature and immature love. I also like how you related it with Romeo and Juliet. great job!

ReplyDelete“Immature love says, 'I love you because I need you' , Mature love says, 'I need you because I love you.” To me this means that there is a difference between real love and the want of something. Love is not something to be tossed around or played with. Sadly, this happens all too often. Take for instance, someone who is young. They are immature. They do not fully understand love for what it is. “I love you because I need you.” Just because you think you need something does not mean you should say you love it. The sense of “Love” will make something you need want to stay around, Which would only mean that their heart would be toyed with. As for mature love, It is saying , “I need you because I love you”. This is where the quotes’ turning point becomes powerful and hits you. When you feel a true, strong love for something, You need it. For example, If you met someone and you started off as friends. You were friends for a long time. You were there to help each other. You have all of that history between the two of you. You wouldn’t need them in your life because they had something you wanted. You’d need them because you loved them so much. The will and strength that is given when you love someone is so powerful; You can work miracles to make everything work out in the end. The quote is deep, and it really gets through to me.
ReplyDeleteIn relation to Romeo and Juliet, this is an eye-opening quote. Romeo and Juliet were young and immature (as the quote describes love as “immature”.) and did not fully know what love was. Juliet was a dumb teenager and Romeo barely knew Juliet. They thought that they were madly in love with each other. But, Because they weren’t wise and didn’t experience any other REAL relationships, they ended up killing themselves. They were both stupid and immature. They didn’t take the time to think about love and they ended up dead.
I agree and like what you said about this quote! You are right about love being taken advantage nowadays. I also like how you mentioned that love is very powerful when you are in love. I like your example and I think it's perfectly well explained. Once again I agree on everything you said about this quote.
DeleteImmature love says, 'I love you because I need you' , Mature love says, 'I need you because I love you.'" To me, this means that today, love is used in immature love. I think that no one knows what true love is until they find it. Immature love is when you think you love someone. Mature love is when you know who you love and you know you actually love them. Not everyone knows what love is about. I’m not saying I do, but when you love someone, for real, you need them.
ReplyDeleteWhen people today say they love someone, maybe in the hallways to their boyfriend of 1 month, I think they don’t really know what they’re saying. Because sooner or later, they’re not going to be together for the rest of their life. There is a tiny, puny, little, microscopic chance that you’re going to marry your “highschool lover.” To me, that’s what immature love is. And with immature love, you think you need that person. And in a way, maybe you actually do need that person in your life. But that doesn’t really mean you love them. Now mature love, to me, is when you love someone in a true passionate way, and thats why you need them in your life.
This relates to Romeo and Juliet because they truly loved each other. In mature love, it says, “I need you because I love you.” For them it was love at first site. And it wasn’t immature love. They ended up killing themselves together because of their strong affection for each other. I think that’s what true love is. (Not meaning to kill yourself for the one you love. But they knew it was for the best in their situation).
I think you explained this quote very well. Also, I completely agree with what you think is the difference between immature and mature love. I also agree with how you related it to Romeo and Juliet.
DeleteImmature love says, “I love you because I need you” , Mature love says, “I need you because I love you.” This quote to means a lot of different things to many different people. I think this quote means that there is a lot of different meanings to the word I love you. For example, lets say two people have dated for about a year or two and the first time they said I love you was about a couple months later into their relationship. They mean it when they say I love you. Love is something that builds on to the relationship. It’s not automatically there. And immature people now a day don’t know what love is and they just chuck it at people like its a gift. I love you is 3 strong words. But the thing is you don’t know what I love you means until you have been in a relationship for a long time. I think this quote is an example of what people do now a day. It shows the difference between what immature people think it means and what mature think it means.
ReplyDeleteThere is a difference between immature and mature love. For example, immature love is when 2 people think they're in love with each other and they only been dating for about a day. Stupid and ridiculous as it may seem, its true and people really think they love each other after a day of dating. Immature love is also when people date at a young age. For example a 12 year old. They think love is just a joke but it isn’t. Mature love is so much different. I think mature love is when 2 people have been dating for a while and they actually mean it when they say I love you and they know what it means when they say it. This relates to Romeo and Juliet because they had that “love at first sight” immature love. They didn’t have the mature love and ended up killing themselves at the end.
I agree with you. Every thing you said was true. I liked your examples too. Like when you said 12 year olds dating is immature love. I definitely agree with what you said.
Delete“Immature love says, ‘I love you because I need you’ ,Mature love says, ‘I need you because I love you.”” What this quote means to me is that immature love is more like saying ‘I love you just because I need something from you’’ but thats not actually love. Mature love is real, true love because its stating that ‘I need you because I love you and I don’t know how my life would be without you being a part of it’. To be honest it seems like immature love is not even love, its fake because you’re not actually loving the person. An example for immature love would be a seventh grader dating someone and telling them they love them but really they have no clue what love is. An example of mature love would be a couple dating each other because they have fallen in love with each other and each time they get to know each other, they discover what love is. Mature love comes from the heart. This is what I think this quote is saying.
ReplyDeleteThis quote can relate to Romeo and Juliet because clearly they’re immature lovers. A thirteen year old (Juliet) is not maturely developed if she killed herself because she claimed she loved a twenty year old guy (Romeo) that she barely knew. Romeo and Juliet “fell” in love at first sight. Already that points out they’re both immature. Romeo and Juliet would meet secretly sometimes at night but never had a relationship. They just told themselves and each other how much they love each other when really there was no love, it was all made up. In today’s world people do similar things. Specifically young people act the same way as Romeo and Juliet. Teenagers meet new people, flirt, and then date thinking they love each other. That’s what Romeo and Juliet did, they basically met each other, flirted, and automatically “fell” in love with each other. This is how this quote can relate to Romeo and Juliet.
Immature Love states 'I love you because I need you' and mature love states'I need you because I love you.'" So immature love is not as strong as mature because it means i need you to live that doesn't mean he/she is desperately in to fulfill he/shes heart like mature love but immature love is just needing to sustain life like your passion for that person is i need you because you make my day or you make me wake up in the morning. i feel like it could just be like immature love is that they give you something and they love your for it for example I need you in my life to remind me to do homework or to take my meds or what ever you need to deal with life.
ReplyDeleteAnd for mature life is a commitment takes two people to fulfill one like romeo and juliet their passion for each other is unbearable so unbearable that if one dies the other one thinks if he cant live life i shouldnt because they mean the world to one other. I bet if you asked a married couple that is happily married they would die for one other and they would help each other in the thick and thin even if one committed adultery or lied to each other everybody makes mistakes and if they have a mature love for each other they know they made mistakes and they hopefully know that they will work on it together like I said it takes two people for a relationship not one cant do all the work thats why its love its a passion like romeo and juliet they did what their parents told them not to see each other or ever come in contact with each other because they dont like each other they wanna go to war and such those sayings mean to me is commitment thats what they mean one word and thats all it takes.
I think Robbie did a great job explaining the quote. He gave great details and examples to support it. He also related it to romeo and juliet very well!
DeleteI believe Robby did a very well written blog on how to explain this quote. He supported it with very supportive details. The way he related it to Romeo and Juliet was very well put as well. Over all Robby did a wonderful responce.
Delete"Immature love says, 'I love you because I need you' , Mature love says, 'I need you because I love you.'" To me this quote means that immature love is not real love but mature love is. Immature love is when two people are dating just because they don't want to be single. Maybe they think they are ment to be but in the near future find out that it really wasnt true love. They don't really love each other like in mature love. Mature love is when they really love the other person. When you spend time with that person and really get to know them, that is mature love. Mature love comes from the heart. They are very different as you can see. So that is what I think this quote means.
ReplyDeleteAn example of immuture love is in Romeo and Juliet. Romeo was sad one day because he loved a girl but she didn't love her back. He didn't even know her, he just thought she looked pretty. This is immuture love because he didn't love her. He just loved how she looked. He couldn't have loved her if they never talked, so he couldn't of gotten to know her by just looking at her. So I think that is immuture love. Also when Romeo and Juliet meet it is also immuture love. One they barely knew each other. Also they were both young, especially Juliet. They don't really know what love is.
"Immature love says, "I love you because I need you", mature love says, "I need you because I love you." I believe this quote tries to say that some people don't know what love really is until they're mature enough to have a special relationship with someone else. They also both need to truly love each other to have a mature relationship. I think immature love, is when two young people that really don't know what love is, say they love each other. When this happens, theres not always a meaningful relationship when this happens, and it usually dies quickly. You usually know a mature relationship when you see one. They usually come from 17 year olds or older, and they give lots of love and affection to each other, and do lots of fun and romantic things. I admit I don't exactly know what true love is, so I won't say much more. This quote definitely relates to Romeo and Juliet. That's because at first, Romeo loves someone that doesn't love him back, which is a very immature relationship. However, he meets Juliet later on in the play, and finally knows what true love is when he has a more mature relationship with her, and then they die. This quote can relate to much more in life, and in Romeo and Juliet. In conclusion, I think many young lovers should go by this quote because it could save you greatly one day if you make the wrong turn into a relationship.

ReplyDelete"Immature love says, 'I love you because I need you' , Mature love says, 'I need you because I love you.'" I think this quote can mean many things, but to me it means that some people mistake love for what i really means. Teenagers say i love you to one another. They don't really know what love is yet, When you say love, that means you want to be with that person forever. The immature love is when you really don't know what love really means. It will and happens everyday to people. One day they love them, the next feelings can change and that one person might not love them. Mature love means that they love you so they need you in their life. When you get older you will start to know what the mature love is and how it is different that the immature love. These two are different by that one can get mistaken and the other you actually mean it. In 7th grade relationships, those kids say “I love you”, but they don't even know what love is. The like them, they don't want to spend their whole life with that person. The mature love on the other hand, says you actually love the person and want to spend the rest of your life with them.
ReplyDeleteIn Romeo and Juliet, they both are immature lover. They fall in love at first sight. Romeo didn't even know juliet that well. They thought they were madly in love with each other. But in the the end we all that they were wrong. They thought is would be better to kill themselves and be over. Immature love is way different than mature love. Romeo and Juliet had immature love.
I agree with mitch because he justified what he was explaining. He gave details on why he thought their love was immature. Also on what immature love means and what mature love means. He gave a breif desrciption on why he thought this. In the end mitch was correct with his statement
DeleteThis quote is explaining two different meanings to two types of ways of saying love. When the author states the immature love is when someone is loved because they need them. Now this is a whole different way of sayng i need you because i love you. The difference is when someone says i love you because i need you is because they are saying that they love you because life without you would be pointless if i didnt see you everyday of my life. But when it is reversed and said i need you because i love you, this is stating that the person isnt fully confident that that one person doesnt love the other. Now Romeo and Juliet had immature love. For example, they were very young, even though in their time it wasnt bad to marry young it still wasnt right. The children still didnt experience life to the fullest. They still didnt do things that they should have. They never explored or went on a year journey, even though they said they loved each other they only ment it to fill their own feelings and mking their partner think that they love them with their full heart. But to love someone they must be around them for a long time to fully understand their personality. If you say you love someone right away, this could back fire because after awhile that person's true personality will come out and you might regretting falling in love and wasting your time and your heart loving them. Then you feel used and heart broken for wasting your love on tht person who didnt love you and used you. Now i didnt finish reading romeo and juliet and i dont know what will happen and if their love is pure but i do know that when you are 13 you dont love someone from seeimg them once of twice.
ReplyDelete“Immature love says, 'I love you because I need you' , Mature love says, 'I need you because I love you." This quote can be interpreted in many different ways. I interpret this quote as, people don't really know what love is until they're mature enough to experience love. Many people confuse mature love with immature love. This is usually because immature individuals are in love with being in love.
ReplyDeleteThere is definitely a fine line between mature and immature love. Unfortunately, today many young people claim to be " in love". But, do they know the feeling of love? Or rather than being "in love' are they just "in like" with the person. I strongly believe you can have extremely strong feelings for a person but love is a completely different story. Immature love is when you THINK you're in love but aren't exactly sure. Mature love is when you would absolutely do anything in your power for the certain individual.
this quote relates so much to Romeo and Juliet. It relates to the couple's relationship tremendously. It relates because I believe they had an extremely immature relationship. They both also felt immature love for a couple of different reasons. One reason was, because they were so young. It doesn't help if you claim you're in love at such a young age. As an example, Juliet was 13 when she felt "love". At 13, you have barely experienced many things in life. So how did she experience love? Another reason is, they claimed to be in love as soon as they saw each other. They claimed it was love at first sight. I personally don't believe in love at first sight. I think its more of an individual falling in love with another appearance. I believe when you fall in love, it'll be like something you've never experienced before.
I agree with how you described immature love, and how you made everything so clear and easy to understand. I think you did a really good job with the descriptions of everything. I really like all your reasons as to why the love the two had shared was immature love. You also backed up eery reason which is why I believe you did a really good job.
DeleteImmature love says, 'I love you because I need you' , Mature love says, 'I need you because I love you.” This quote has one meaning, and one meaning only. You want what you love, and you love what you need. I love my phone, and need my phone because I love it. It keeps me connected to the outside world, and keeps me in the loop of things. This quote above can relate to many different situations that people face in their everyday lives. To me, this quote means if you need something so bad, you love it. Also, when you love something or someone you want to be around them all the time. Almost like you need them attached to your hip.
ReplyDeleteThe difference between mature love and immature love, is with immature love, its the type of “love” you feel when you like someone when you're in middle school. It’s the crush stage in your life. Immature love, is the most inexperienced type of love there is. Mature love, is the love you have for someone you know you’ll spend the rest of your life with.. That feeling you get when you know you'll be spending the rest of your life with that one significant other. In the poem we are reading by William Shakespeare, the two main characters are drawn to each other by “fate”. The story refers to them as “star crossed lovers” from the start. The love that Romeo and Juliet share in the beginning of the story is immature love. The loved to me is immature love because its the rush of t all being forbidden. Which is one of the reasons why the love thrives into something bigger like mature love. Once the little fling blossomed into mature love, it was to late for the families to discuss it with the two main characters because the thought of living without the other caused Juliet to kill herself after Romeo committed suicide a few days earlier.
“Inmature love says, I love you because I need you, mature love says, I need you because I love you.” This quote means lots of things to different people. To me this quote means that people will say they love each other when they dont. People may often change themselves for someone they “love”. If they were really in love neither person would have to change. Sayimg I love you because I need you is like saying I dont want you to leave my life. People look at this as you need them so you must love them. Just because you need something doent mean you love it. The mature quote, “I need you because i love you” is truly what love is to most people. They truly love you and they need to because of their strong love towards you. Its a completely different meaning to both immature and mature sayings but they both sound so much alike, which can cause people to think they are in love when they arent.
ReplyDeleteThis quote could could relate to Romeo and Juliet in many ways. Romeo was very inmature with his love and said he was in love with Roseline. In reality he had a big crush on her and really liked her. As for the relationship between Romeo and Juliet, they were both way to young to be in “mature love”. Juliet was only 13 and Romeo barely knew who juliet was. Neither of them knew what real love was and because they were inmature they ended up killing themselves.
“Immature love says, ‘I love you because I need you’, Mature love says, ‘I need you because I love you.’” This quote has a very defined meaning. The meaning of this quote is you should love someone because you love them. You shouldn’t love someone because you need them, you should love them for the true feelings you have for them. Not just loving someone to use them.
ReplyDeleteThere is a clear difference between mature and immature love. Mature love is when you have true, honest love for someone else. Immature love is when you make yourself believe you love someone just because you need to use them, or need them.As you can tell there is a major difference. Between the two, one is meaningful the other is worthless.
This can easily relate to Romeo and Juliet. For example, when Romeo and Juliet fell for each other, they were young. However, all though they were young, it was still a mature love they shared for each other. They didn’t just want to use each other, they had a true connection. They had a bond of love before they even knew it themselves. It was a mature love they shared. You would know it was immature if Romeo was just using Juliet for something. Alas, they weren’t using each other, so they shared a mature love.
In conclusion, there is a humongous difference between immature and mature love. I mean, it is pretty much self explanatory. Immature love is basically to sum it up, immature. Someone pretending to love someone to get what they want. That to me is pretty immature. To include, mature love is feelings that mature into a true love over time.
