“It is not the stars that hold our destiny, but it is in ourselves.” Those are the words from the famous poet and playwriter himself, William Shakespeare. In my opinion, this quote means that no one else figures out your life, but it is you who should figure out your own life. This quote says that people need to think amongst themselves to find the passage of their lives. Be an independent individual. Only you could hold your destiny in any way, shape, or form you want it to be in. In my opinion, this quote shows what you could do in your future career in life. You either can be successful and achieve many things in life or, you could not do anything at all and let the other person chose what you should do. This describes independence in many people. In my life, or in everyone’s life, people tell me or them to think about the future and see what your destiny could lead you to. It could lead you to a life of success and wealth or it could lead you to hopelessness and tragedy. Only you could choose your destiny. To conclude, this quote means to be an independent individual and choose your own destiny.
ReplyDeleteIn my life, this quote plays a huge role. Many of my teachers and my parents ask me what I want to do in my life. What I tell them is that I am still thinking of it. That means that I am still thinking on where my destiny, or my mind wants to be at. Either my destiny will be successful or hopeless. So in conclusion, this quote will predict on what my destiny or career would be like.

I should of thought of that cause it was a really good idea, maybe next time! Another thing that I think that you could fix in your blog is explaining what the quote means to you a little more. What this quote means to me is that the stars don’t only hold our destiny but they also hold us. It also means that you can’t look up to the stars to get what you need to have to look between yourself to figure out what you have to do to make things better for yourself. Basically what im trying to get through here is that you can’t rely on fate and the stars to make things better you have to rely on yourself to make things better. I know that this quote seems confusing to read but if you really think about it and cut it down the quote makes a lot of sense. It basically means that you have to figure out your own life and you can’t let other people figure it out for you cause their not you! Someone you don’t know can’t show you what to do with your life only you can tell yourself what to do cause its you! This quote plays a big role in my life. For an example when your in school and teachers tell you something to do that maybe you should take into a perspective later in the future you don’t have to do it. Cause it’s you, you make the decisions of what you wanna do yes people can give their opinions but that doesn’t mean you have to listen to it. So if you don’t listen to what they say you could figure out your destiny yourself and not have help from anyone thats the only way to do it nowadays. I think this quote means that if you want something go get it, don't be afraid to chase after what you want! Don't let anyone change your mind about something if you really want it. Everyone was put on this earth for a reason and its your job to figure out why. Also, that people need to find the passage of their lives. Be who you want to be, and individual. That is what I think this quote means to me and how i think about it. This quote i think relates to someone, somehow but in mine I think it relates to me best with gymnastics. gymnastics is an extremly hard sport and im not going to get my skills if i dont work and oush myself through everything. i have to fight for everything and not give up. nothing comes easy so i just have to keep working. and with decation and hard work it will all pay off and eveyrthing ive been fighting for my dreams it will come true. that is how this quote relates to me

I feel this qoute means to me that if you want something you take a chance and go for it.If you don,t take chances you won't get what you want unless you try and go after it.For example with football your goal is to get a touchdown and score if you are scared to do that you wont succeed at making a touchdown.You do what you think is right for you to succeed. I feel that you shouldn't let anyone or thing hold you back from doing what you love or what you want. When i was in football I tried my best to do my best and to push myself harder so I do succeed.I also feel that you should always do better than settle for less. Push yourself and instead of doing 100% do 110% always and if you fail at least you can say that you ried and that's all you can do is try and go after your goal.Everyone sets goals for a reason.You just can't wait around and ask people to give you what you want You are going to have to get up and chase it.
ReplyDeletei agree with you, and i think the reference to football is cool. if you are scared to go for everything, you'll miss everything. you cant score a touchdown without getting past the other team, and before you do that you have to get past yourself

To me, this quote means that you aren't born great at anything. I believe you are born with potential, but its up to you if you capitalize on that potential or not. Some people could be born with huge potential, but then ruin it by their own actions. You build your own destiny, nothing will ever be handed to you easily. You will most likely have to work for everything. That is what this quote means to me.
ReplyDeleteA personal example from my life is that I've had to work hard my whole life to become athletic and fit. When i was younger i was on the chubbier side, and i was unhappy with it. So in sixth grade I started working hard on fitness. I did push-ups and sit-ups every night untill the fat turned into muscle. By the middle of seventh grade i had lost fifteen pounds and become much more athletic and could run for alot longer. By the end i could run over a mile without stopping easily. If i have any chance of a destiny including sports, i will have earned it because i wasnt just born into an easy position to become athletic. I've built up my own destiny my whole life, and i could destroy it just as easily. And i think that's what this quote really means.

This quote is enveloped around the idea of taking personal responsibility for circumstances. People have to think about the place they're in now and question whether its from luck, or their desire to act. He highlights that unfortunate events happen, but thats how we learn and how we make make better decisions that impact our future. It all comes down to if you believe in fate, or if your actions determine your future. Sometimes its hard not to believe things happen for a reason.
ReplyDeleteI have learned to believe that this quote plays a role in everyone's life but in mine it has to do with school and education. Some people in general are naturally smart and find it easy to remember information. For me, it takes a lot of work and studying to get good grades .Everyone has the decision to choose right from wrong and each one has consequences. Good and Bad. I still put in the effort because I know it will pay off and I’m taking control of my own future. Our lives are in our own hands and only you can decide what’s best for yourself. Each person is responsible for their own actions and to build their own destiny but sometimes destiny is just a stupid excuse for waiting for things to happen instead of making them happen.

This quote gives us a lot of personal responsibility. I also liked how you compared this quote with education. It takes everyone time and effort for the results they want on their school career. Our futures all depend on how well you do as a kid. So, the way your parents raise you also plays a big part in your destiny. I think we should all just go with the flow because our lifes are already planned out & everything that will happen to us we are emotionally prepared for. I also think that we are the universe and we never die only are bodies die & we live on forever, so you might as well make the best of life because in the end being happy is all that matters. If we could all just break out of societys rules and conquer our fears we could all rule the world. You can do anything you could ever imagine, literally. Our destiny depends on what you want it to be. What you think you become. I really can relate to this quote because ive realized that i can be anything i want by just having hope in myself.. ReplyDeleteImmature love says, 'I love you because I need you' , Mature love says, 'I need you because I love you.’ is 100% true. this quote or saying can mean alot to alot of people. I think that a lot of younger teens have no idea what love is or what love even means.In my thought love isent something you just get over night, you have to know the person for atleast one day. At Least the right amount of time to get to know alittle bit about a person. just because someone has good looks doesn't mean that they have a good personality and you will never know unless you talk to them. So this quote means if you are really serious about your relationship you should be able to be away from that person. What if your husband is in the army you still love him even though you're not with him. Real love is also the trust the guy may give a girl to not talk to any other boys while they are together. the same purpose goes for the guys. To me the most important thing in a relationship is trust and honesty. Even if it is something really bad you should be open with each other. If you have love to have to always be with someone you will never have a good relationship. If you can love someone even when you're not with someone is true love to show someone i love you but not to love you so much to have to be glued to you and never leave your side. Even though we rely on everyone for everything it may not be the best thing to do. not everyone is perfect so if you ask them to do something you have a very low percentage that they are actually going to do it. if you want something done you should do it yourself. if you rely on everyone for everything you will never know how to do anything yourself and this just makes you worse or disables you at something for when you get older. this is why you should not rely on everyone and try to do things yourself. now im going to tell you about how this quote relates to me i made the mistake one time because when i was younger i would always ask everyone to do everything for me and i would rely on them. Because of this i now got in the habit of asking everyone for everything. alot more people are selfish now and dont fall forward to there word. When you're on a team you have to rely on your team to run the play correctly but you don't even know if they're going to do it right but you still trust them. Thats what i think about what this quote means and how i can relate to this quote and i will always rely on some people but not too much like i use to.

It is in yourself to make up your destiny. Relying on other people is silly, they are often time wrong, so it's better for you to do it on your own. If you want something done, do it yourself. If its school work, having someone else do it for you is silly because you don't learn what's going on when it comes to quiz/test time. If it's sports, relying on team mates to do your job is not the way to do things. You lose out on so much having other people do your work for you because you don't learn the things that they're doing and it puts you at more of a disadvantage.
ReplyDeleteIt relates in my life because I was this way. I would have people do my work for me then when it came time to take a test I would fail because I didn't know anything about the topic I was testing on. It wasn't the way to get through things. Having other people do the bulk of my work then failing when it came time to do the work for myself. I learned that doing the work on your own is easy and better for yourself than having other people doing all the work for you and just getting by learning nothing.
The quote, " It is not the starts that hold our destiny, but it is in ourselves" by William Shakespeare means that you can make your own destiny. To me, this quote is basically saying that you have choices of what to do with your life. In other words, you make your future, and no one else can make it for you. An example is Joe Montana. He worked hard through his life in football and became a pro football player. Another example is basically any other person, successful or not. If you try your hardest and work to your potential, you can make your future bright, or successful. If your lazy and don't bother doing anything because you don't think it matters, you might not be so successful. This quote relates to me because I am trying my best not to fail any of my classes. Also, I would like to succeed in my life so I am working hard in school and out. This quote also relates to famous people, family, and basically every one else. My dad for example took art in high school and in Ocean County College, now he was awarded the happening artist of ocean count, a semi-finalist in a contest in New York, and always getting comments on his work. Art is just a hobby for my father, he works at Macys and he used to work at Six Flags Great America. He chose his own future. Some actors attended an acting school to get to where they are now. That is what this quote means and how it relates to not only me, but everyone.
